I can't believe we are at the end of week 7

Good day to go get ink cartridges and a case or two of three hole punch paper...

You guys have not only learned most of the basics, started to get some insights that even some seasoned marketers don't see and now we will hammer out specific types of marketing tatics and strategy over the next two weeks.

The promo you get to participate in is coming along well. November 2 is the big day. I'm happy to have you all along for the experience. You'll be able to use this experience as a reference in other people's JV's which should prove to be a very good thing.

And now we take the next two weeks and go for it.

Continue to ask questions.

Good day everyone

Thanking April for piloting the plane while I do maintenance below. Website problems are small compared to marketing strategy and preparation.

Remember if you really need something fixed go into a forum or onto scriptlance or of course google and find someone who can do stuff fast.

I am restraining more info than you can imagine (really) so yes, everyone, do a great job on video creation, installation and on the Great Social Media Project.

Here are some Q/A I've gotten recently. Answers might be helpful to all.

Questions:

"Commenting on blogs is exhausting. How much will I be doing after the course?"

Answer:

Commenting? Probably none. Blogging on your own blog? Probably a couple of hours each week.

Questions:

"What will I do with all of my time?"

Answer:

"You will start your business and begin marketing."

Question:
"How do I transition from the end of the course to the beginning of my business?"

Answer

You want people who aren't in this course seeing your blog by the end of the course. You can't control this. What you have done is set it up as perfectly as is possible to this point. Now you need to become active in social media (for example) for the best shot at transitioning effectively.

Question:
What If I don't want to blog and just have a website like kevinhogan.com

Answer

Have at it. But you will be happy you have a blog. You can always get rid of it in a year. But for now a blog is a great discipline for CREATION of YOUR OWN CONTENT for your FUTURE

Question:

Social Media...."Like what?"
Answer: Like leaving links all around the internet pointing back to your website. "Social" is a very ambiguous term. It's a puzzle piece. I'd rather do ezinearticles.com three times each week than try and build a business on facebook any day, BUT people will find you on facebook and you will want people to go, "oh that james dude he's cool, do biz with him."

Question:
"What if I don't do offsite marketing?"

Answer: Then you almost certainly will have built a BIG NINE WEEK road to google, yahoo's and alexa's brain for a fraction of the benefit. Ideally you would work harder the last two weeks of this course than you ever would once you start in business. Unfortunately people typically see short term pain as painful, don't do stuff and then get depressed for the rest of their life because they didn't do two intensive weeks.

Question:

"What should my plan be?"

Answer: You should start your business NOW. You've had six weeks to go live, so do it. Go live. Get stuff created, developed, coauthored, coventured, now. You want to have a good reason for people to stop by and give you their email address. Think: If it isn't worth $25 or $50 for real, then they won't leave their (real) email address. Your goal is to build a fanbase regardless of the type of websites you are growing. trying to only make a sale without having a simple system for connecting with people that combines autoresponders and human response, makes making money more complicated and much more work than you should do. Believe me, I know because I did it for 10 years.... I'd do it again but I'd rather not!

Question:

"So what should my day look like?"

Answer:

Here's one day I picked from the journal...almost at random (not a speaking date)

I did an interview with Igor for his hypnosis mailing lists. Today we did three hours which he will strip down to two and these interviews will air in Summer sometime. One interview we did this week will be for his general list, the next two will be for higher tiered lists of his fans. Hopefully I pick up some subscribers and make some sales of one of my favorite programs, Covert Hypnosis. So after I dealt with helping with some friends in crisis all morning I did the interview from 8:30 to noon.

Then I talked with Steve for an hour about a project. I ate my first meal of the day while talking to Steve. (His problem not mine!)

Then I worked on Coffee for two hours. Top section. Most important part. A lot of work trying to make it excellent.

Next up, I wrote some testimonials and endorsements for some books. That takes time because I go through material.

I did a quick magazine interview by email. Maybe 30 minutes.

I did correspondence with Inner Circle and highly connected people for about 90 minutes.

Had dinner. Maybe 20 minutes.

Dealt with purchase agreement on home I'm buying, 90 minutes.

Set up some dates with my son for next week. If something doesn't get on the calendar it doesn't happen. If it gets on the calendar it goes. He matters, a lot. This is special time where we will spend an hour or more together doing stuff we like to do.

I downloaded updates to windows for about 30 minutes,

did corporate correspondence for another hour.

I worked on audio files for you for next week. About an hour.

Now I'm typing to you to help you see....what a day is like.

I don't comment on blogs but I would if I wanted to go from zero to $100,000 quickly. But I wouldn't focus only or mainly on blogs. I would do team social media like we will experience next week. The power of team now is amazing as you will see next week. You will no doubt grab some former participants of this course and team up on some of this stuff that you'll do maybe one day per week because you will generate traffic, rank, etc so much quicker.

Next up I will watch Survivor which was recorded Thursday night. Then I will have a late night meal then do a couple of hours of Coffee and call it a night.

Not a profitable day but a day that will create the foundation for profitable days.

Question:
If I'm not going to be commenting in three weeks much, why am I doing it now?

Answer

You need the search engine ranking and website power in negotiating JV deals. If your alexa ranking is bad, who will want to work with you? Not many....With the Alexa ranking you have now, just about ANYONE would be interested in working with you on a joint venture. Alexa is the one measurement everyone in business knows is not absolutely reliable, but it's like the Dow. Everyone uses it in decision making on JV's.
