IMC Week 8 Tuesday
OK guys, here's the deal.
I will post a list of people here later that have agreed to be part of the project. Those people playing (see email from a couple of weeks ago) will need to be ready Wednesday.
On Thursday, Friday, Saturday, there will be no commenting on blogs for you, though everyone else will.
This project will take MUCH longer than regular commenting because this is now real life work on the web. We are essentially bridging to the work of starting your business, with focus.
I will post the list later as I get everyone's confirmation or nonconfirmation.
Week 8 files are up at the website.
Be prepared for a great deal of time investment.

This week is a "short week" and we will conclude this week Saturday night with the conclusion of the social media project.
WATCH YOUR EMAIL FOR DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS AS I WON"T POST THEM HERE. as always, you can put up all questions and thoughts here on vox.

Tuesday (today) IS a standard comment/blog day. The project will hopefully begin tomorrow afternoon or as late as Thursday. That means you need to be ready and have told me yes or no whether you are participating. I need everyone on the same page that is particpating so we will have patience....briefly then everyone works together.

we are creating a path for the *world* to potentially be aware of your video. it should directly be involved with your work, the purpose of your marketing. in other words. it would be like the 10 minute video i did on the magic words of persuasion. not selling anything, just showing what i can do to the world. so when they see it they go, WOW, i want what that guy has...
yes, this is important. it's not a space filler. this is the beginning of your work. make it good.
video came out ok besides the fact that I look like I have big huge man hands and I sound like I have a lisp! lol I might try to film it one more time but I need to spend time figuring out how to get it on youtube also! I'm playing

OK here is the list of participants to the moment. We will actually begin the social project Wednesday afternoon after everyone on the list has video posted on their website or at youtube. have trouble w/ getting video to youtube? search youtube on how to use youtube. tons of videos show you how. but remember an audio file is just a file, youtube allows you to look for the file on your computer, you click on it, and then click upload.

Craig, if you happen to be reading today..... can you recommend another WP plugin that I could try to get audio/video on my blog? The one used in the class won't work on mine probably because of the theme. If not, no problem because I can put the audio and video on my site instead or in addition to my blog.

I don't think it's possible that switching to Feedburner for RSS management has anything to do with comments not showing up on a blog.
The problem must lie elsewhere.

What plugin, specifically, is not working for you? We used different ones for audio and video.
Let me know, and I'll see if I can make an alternate suggestion.
Also, feel free to let me know in what way you're having a problem with them. Maybe it's not your theme, and I can help get it sorted out.

Today's evening FREE intro session on "Understanding Personality for Better Influence & Persuasion through Pure Numerology" is well received by 10 people. Next FREE intro is a week later. Then the billable course starts a week after that.
The College says it's normal even for popular course that students only enroll 1-2 weeks after attending the free intro session. So I'll keep my fingers crossed.

j.j. you will collect info for video URL starting this afternoon. once i have the list posted, i will then ask everyone what their video is about in 2-3 sentences, and why it's the greatest/coolest, most valuable thing since sliced bread for audience x. that information is what we will all need to have to make the rounds thursday and friday
everyone ideally wants this on youtube but their website is ok. once you have the list posted, and no one will be able to make changes after noon central tomorrow nor will there be additions or subtractions after that, .....wednesday night your time, then i will have instructions on what people will do with the list

Sounds like you're having trouble _recording_ audio, right?
If so, let me know if I can help.
Skype has a built-in audio recorder ("Pamela," I believe), so that may work for you and JJ. If you're not pleased with it, do a Google search, there are a few others available (though they're cost$)

I will probably be using this for a new WP course I'm putting together which will consist of showing people how to set-up a profitable WP blog, much like I've done in this course.

ok, my hair and make up are DONE and ready for my video (you're laughing but all the women here completely understand!).
Craig honey, be gentle. David Power and I are both on the fluffy side and are completely having problems claiming our self-hosted WP blogs at technorati. I have claimed all my other ones no problem whatsoever before. Any clue? did I miss something special about techonorati and self hosted WP?
And if we can't resolve it in 13 mins, other things are WAY more important and we'll move on.

Heading out for dinner/my film session with Steve and Trisha shortly.
I totally had to consider WHAT I was wearing, authority conveyed in a black jacket, but interesting texture. Some neckline... but a bit more covered. So I communicate classy sexy not... trashy. A delicate line when one is a buxom woman. I rely on Trinny and Susannah's wardrobe wisdom.
And took my own medicine and am wearing.. a skirt! which won't per se be visible in my video. Still, this way I'm congruent with what I recommend.
